Minister of Demographic Development reports at “Hour of Minister”
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Sizes of allowance and pension granted from the social insurance and welfare funds were increased in 2014, 2015 and 2016 respectively. It was a measure taken for maximizing the pension and allowance in compliance with an inflation rate under the 2012-2016 governmental action program.
The Minister of Demographic Development and Social Welfare S.Erdene said this at the “Hour of Minister” weekly meeting on Thursday.
The minimum size of pension was MNT 180,300 in 2012, which increased by 40% in 2016, reaching MNT 251,000. The proportion-balanced pension reached this year MNT 216,000, increasing by 49%, while the average pension size reached MNT 306,200, increasing by 38%, which means that the governmental action plan has been fully accomplished, the Minister said.
Apart from the pensions, the social insurance allowance size was augmented by 35% from this month, and the allowance for carers reached MNT 64,000, increasing by 33%.
