MCA-Mongolia holds working meeting with Water Authority
Last week, MCA-Mongolia and Water Authority representatives had a working meeting to discuss Industrial Pre-Treatment Plan, its implementation and further monitoring, as well as other efforts to reduce industrial wastewater pollution and exchange views on further cooperation. CEO E.Sodontogos, project directors and specialists from MCA-Mongolia side and Head of Water Authority Sh.Myagmar led representatives from the Water Authority participated in the meeting.
Mortgage loan interest cut to 6 percent
During the parliamentary discussion held on October 16, Friday on Mongolia’s budget bills, such as State Budget bill for 2021, Social Insurance and Health Insurance Budget Bills for 2021, Minister of Construction and Urban Development B.Munkhbaatar informed that commercial banks had already started issuing mortgage loans with lowered interest rate of 6 percent to eligible borrowers.
Labor shortage in harvest looming despite abundant crop yields
This year, sowing was made on 536,600 hectares of land, which equals to 0.34 percent of the total land of Mongolia’s territory with high mountains and wide open steppe-grassland. Out of the sowing areas, wheat was sowed on 364,000 hectares, potatoes on 18,600 hectares, vegetables on 9,600 hectares, rapeseed on 61,100 hectares and fodder plants in 52,700 hectares respectively.

Customs, Taxation and Financial Information Technological Center state-owned company under the Ministry of Finance and the Authority for Fair Competition and Consumer Protection (AFCCP) today held a press briefing to introduce a new feature for Ebarimt application for VAT promotion system and 146 types of government services to the public, and Gerege kiosk of multi-purpose payment system. Users are now able to access to vehicle history report of used auto vehicles imported to Mongolia after April 1, 2020 through the Ebarimt and Gerege digital systems by entering the Vehicle Identification Number of each vehicle.
