Australian Embassy donates books to Bayan-Ulgii Central Library

Bayan-Ulgii/MONTSAME/. The Embassy of Australia in Mongolia
and National Library of Mongolia jointly organized a training on ‘Capacity
Building for local librarians’ at the Central Library of Bayan-Ulgii aimag on
February 14-15.
The training for librarians was led by Australia Awards
alumna and specialist at National Library M. Davaasuren together with Director
of the Central Library of Medical Sciences D.Bayartsengel. At the training,
they provided information on integrated library systems, automation, cataloging,
public services, as well as standard public library services.
With aims to upgrade the library’s software and enrich the
children’s library of the aimag, the Australian Embassy donated MNT 5 million-worth
Mongolian, English books in education, science, cognition and literature. The
embassy’s specialist in charge of programs Kh. Urnukh handed over the samples of
book donations to Director of Bayan-Ulgii Central Library D.Altyngul.
