Groundbreaking ceremony held for new veterinary hospital

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A project is being implemented with the Republic of Korea to strengthen the capacity of Mongolia's veterinary workforce, improve veterinary services including preventative, diagnostic, and medical services, provide training and handbooks, and to build a veterinary hospital. On July 1, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new veterinary hospital.
As part of the project, the veterinary hospital will be established at the School of Veterinary Medicine of the Mongolian University of Life Sciences and veterinary specialists and academics of the Republic of Korea will provide training for their Mongolian equivalents.
Moreover, a 25-seat bus provided with funding support from the project will be used for the training of undergraduate students and it will become possible to provide postgraduate and accreditation programs for veterinarians in both public and private hospitals.
The official development assistance project will run until 2023.
