2,401 coronavirus cases recorded, total rises to 122,740

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Daily COVID-19 press briefing for today, July 03, Saturday reported that 2,401 new coronavirus cases were detected nationwide in the past 24 hours.
In specific, 1,432 new cases were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar city and 969 cases were detected in rural regions, including Orkhon, Darkhan-Uul, Bulgan, Selenge, Tuv, Khuvsgul, Khovd, Arkhangai, Khentii, Dornod, Uvurkhangai, Uvs, Zavkhan, Gobisumber and Gobi-Altai aimags.
As a result, the nationwide infection tally has now reached 122,740, with 94,234 cases of them are recorded in Ulaanbaatar city.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1,502 patients were recovered, making the total number of COVID-19 recoveries 82,933. As of July 02, a total of 13,933 coronavirus patients are being treated at hospitals and clinics or under home isolation in Ulaanbaatar city and the rural aimags.
Some 249 patients’ health are in serious conditions, reports the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD), the primary healthcare organization in the country responding to the pandemic.
NCCD also reported 17 new COVID-19 related deaths, raising the country's death toll to 609. The casualties are COVID-19 patients aged between 31 and 86 years old, who were staying under coronavirus treatment.
