Ministries to cooperate in non-mining exports
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On January 30, a discussion was held
between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Food, Agriculture and Light
Industry on opportunities for cooperation under the Government’s policy to diversify
the economy, increase non-mining exports and expand the external market.
The sides agreed to pay special attention to maintaining last
year’s meat export rate, adding values to products and increasing exports of
organic products including milk and dairy products.
Moreover, they emphasized the importance of aligning veterinary system with international standards and improving technologies for processing meat, milk, leather, woolen and cashmere products.
At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to devise and
carry out a plan designated for increasing non-mining exports.
