Bayan-Ulgii /MONTSAME/ Governor of Bayan-Ulgii aimag
A.Gilimkhan took part in the 12th meeting of the Association of North East Asia
Regional Governments (NEAR), held in Human province of China on October 29.
The meeting brought together representatives from 77
provinces of five member states of the association including
authorities and chairmen of citizens’ representative councils of Bayan-Ulgii,
Bayankhongor, Gobi-Altai, Gobisumber, Orkhon, Uvurkhangai, Uvs, Arkhangai and
Dundgobi aimags
The regular plenary meeting discussed the issue of
strengthening ties and cooperation between the regional governments.
NEAR is an international organization that ensures ties and
cooperation between administrative divisions of the six Northeast Asian
countries. Since its establishment in September, 1996, 77 administrative units
of Mongolia, Russia, South Korea, North Korea, China, Japan and other countries
have joined the association.
