“I’m Mongolian” short film wins ABU Prize

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The short film by the Mongolian National Public Radio and Television (MNB)  “I’m Mongolian” has won the special jury prize of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU). The ABU Prize Award Ceremony was held in Istanbul of Turkey on October 30.

The film is about an Inner Mongolian (an autonomous region of the People’s Republic of China) woman G.Chimedtseren, who had come to Mongolia on camel back with her father and step-mother and desperately wants to become a legitimate citizen of Mongolia. The story tells about how she spent 44 years since she was 11 years, without any rights to receive medical care, to be paid for work according to her labor value, and to take aprt in elections.

The five-minut film has been directed and produced by O.Enkhbold and edited by Kh.Shine-Od.
