National Naadam Commences with Grand Opening Ceremony

Ulaanbaatar, July 11, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The National Naadam Festival, marking the 2234th anniversary of the establishment of Mongolian Statehood, the 819th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, the 114th anniversary of the Restoration of National Freedom and Independence, and the 104th anniversary of the People’s Revolution of Mongolia commenced with the Grand Opening Ceremony at the Central Stadium of Mongolia on July 11, 2025.
President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa made opening remarks at the National Naadam Festival. The President highlighted that the importance of the National Naadam Festival, which dates back to Hunnu Empire, as a memory of Mongolian Statehood, a symbol of unity and independence of the Mongolian nation, a spiritual immunity and a guarantee of our continuance.
The opening and closing ceremonies of the Naadam Festival were presented under the theme “Mongolia Shining Eternally” featuring an artistic performance composed of seven main parts that reflected the intellect, traditions, and historical pride of the Mongol people. The opening and closing ceremonies of this year’s National Naadam was directed by State Prize Laureate and Honored Art Worker N. Naranbaatar.
The Opening Performance will be reprised tonight on July 11, 2025, offering a modern stage and screen experience for nighttime viewing.
