53.1 tons of gold reserves in Kharmagtai deposit registered
The amount of gold reserves contained in the ‘North Burgedei’ orebody of special exploration license field of ‘Ovoot Khyar’ at the Kharmagtai deposits located in Tsogttsetsii soum, Umnugobi aimag has been determined.

Children’s Fund re-established
On December 30, the Cabinet approved to re-establish Children’s Fund, designed for financing projects to re-build child and youth development places, such as Children’s Library, Children’s Theatre and cultural and sports facilities.

21 aimags to return to normalcy
A regular Cabinet meeting was held today, December 30, and discussed many issues, including the issuance of three resolutions related to the COVID-19 prevention measures.  Following the Cabinet meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the State Emergency Commission Ya. Sodbaatar reported press. No new COVID-19 cases recorded in rural clusters for 14-43 days

President Kh.Battulga awards top young scholars, engineers and workers
In aims of calling for the youth to be more involved in labor, creative industry, and scientific development, and supporting the policy on professional education and the preparation of personnel, the President of Mongolia annually presents awards to outstanding young scholars, engineers and workers leading in their respective sectors. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was decided to not organize the award ceremony this year.

COVID-19: 20 new cases confirmed, total stands 1195
At today’s daily briefing of the Ministry of Health on the latest update on the COVID-19 situation in Mongolia, A.Ambaselmaa, a Head of Surveillance Department of the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD), reported that the coronavirus was detected in 20 people, all in Ulaanbaatar city, after testing 12825 people nationwide within the past 24 hours.
