On December 27, the State Emergency Commission convened via video conference to discuss about current state of COVID-19 in Mongolia and measures in place amid the heightened state of public readiness continuing until December 31 nationwide and strict lockdown in Ulaanbaatar until January 6.

It was presented at the meeting that Mongolia’s 20 aimags out of 21 had not reported any new coronavirus cases in the past 23-30 days, now being regarded as COVID-19-free zones in line with the World Health Organization recommendations. - To transfer freight trailers of international freight transport trucks bound for Mongolia, which had arrived at the Kyakhta border crossing point of Russia, at Mongolia’s Altanbulag border point on January 2 and 4, 2021, as a test.
