COVID-19: 20 new cases confirmed, total stands 1195

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. At today’s daily briefing of the
Ministry of Health on the latest update on the COVID-19 situation in Mongolia, A.Ambaselmaa,
a Head of Surveillance Department of the National Center for Communicable
Diseases (NCCD), reported that the coronavirus was detected in 20 people, all
in Ulaanbaatar city, after testing 12825 people nationwide within the past 24
hours.
Eighteen of the newly confirmed cases are related to the
cluster infections at Bayanzurkh district hospital; thus, the locally acquired
cases have reached 720.
The other two cases are passengers who arrived on a charter
flight from Tokyo, bringing the total number of imported cases to 397.
Today, the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases now
stands at 1,195, with 824 recoveries.
