At the invitation of President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa will pay a State Visit to the Republic of Italy from December 1-3, 2025.
Events in Ulaanbaatar:
December 1: Political party groups in the State Great Khural will convene.
December 1: Admissions
open for the Spring semester of the 2025-2026 academic year for full-time
bachelor’s programs at the National University of Mongolia (NUM).
December 1: World
AIDS Day will be marked.
December 2-3: Standing Committees of the State Great Khural will hold
meetings.
December 3: A
Cabinet session will take place at the State Palace.
December 3: The 2025 National Gymnastics Championships will begin.
December 4-5: The plenary session of the State Great Khural will be held at the State
Palace.
December 5: Archivists’ Day will be observed.
December 5: International Volunteer Day will be observed.
December 6: The 6th Congress of Lawyers will convene.
December 6: The National Amateur Chess Championships, organized in
connection with Constitution Day, will commence nationwide.
December 6: The 10th General Assembly of Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in Mongolia (WSTEM Mongolia) will be hosted at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum in a hybrid format.

December 7: International Civil Aviation Day will be observed.
-MONTSAME’s #AMIN NUTAG video contest promoting the preservation of regional heritage and local traditions is open for submissions via the link to content@montsame.gov.mn until December 12.

-Submissions for the National Naadam Festival directorate’s concept and
budget proposals will be accepted sealed at the Cultural and Arts Authority
(Room 603) until December 5.
-The “Issue-Solution” Child Protection Month campaign will continue nationwide until December 10.
Local Events:
December 5: The 9th regular session of the Citizens’ Representative
Khural will take place in Khuvsgul aimag.
December 5: The annual “Blue Pearl” recognition ceremony will be held
in Murun soum, celebrating the region’s distinguished contributors.
December 6: “KARAKORUM ICE FESTIVAL 2025” will take place in Uvurkhangai aimag.

Events Abroad:
December 6: Mongolian formation dance team “Moon Dance” will compete
in the World Championship Formation Standart event in the Federal Republic of Germany.
December 7: Mongolia will compete in three categories with 18 para-athletes at the Dubai 2025 Asian Youth Para Games in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The “Mongolia: A Journey Through Time” special exhibition at the Rietberg Museum in Zurich, Swiss Confederation, will run until February 26, 2026.
