Ulaanbaatar, May 29, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The "World Milk Day" is widely celebrated by countries around the world on June 1 each year.

In line with this global initiative, Mongolia is set to organize its first-ever “Milk Festival-2025” to highlight the importance of milk, dairy products, and the dairy industry as a whole. The World Milk Day, first initiated by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in 2001, had previously been observed by professionals and producers in Mongolia's dairy sector. Starting this year, the scope is expanding with the participation of major national dairy producers such as "Suu," "Apu Dairy," "Teso Foods," "Vitafit Milk," "Monfresh," and "Ulemj Organic," in cooperation with the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry of Mongolia, the FAO, and the Mongolian Dairy Association.

The Milk Festival will take place at the National Park in Ulaanbaatar and will feature an open public event aimed at raising awareness, especially among children, the future generation, of the health benefits of milk and dairy products, and promoting their daily consumption.

During the Festival, leading national companies will set up dairy-themed booths offering free samples, small gifts, and interactive activities for children. The activities include entertaining games, theatrical performances, a cosplay competition, and circus shows, blending culture, fun, and education.

Notably, the World Milk Day has been observed in Mongolia since 2016.
