Multi-stakeholders’ consultation workshop held

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Within the framework of ‘Decent
employment soum and district model’ pilot project in Songinokhairkhan district
and Bayanchandmani soum of Tuv province, implemented by the EU-Funded ‘SDG-aligned
budgeting to transform employment in Mongolia’ project, a ‘Ensuring
Inter-Sectoral Coordination to Support Employment’ multi-stakeholders
consultation workshop was held on November 3, with the participation of
relevant experts from Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Songinokhairkhan
District Governor's Office, Social Policy Department, Labor and Welfare Service
Department, Food and Agriculture Department, Education Department, Health
Association, District Employers' Association, Trade Union and Training
Institutions.
The event was opened by Mr Marco Ferri, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Mongolia, Ms Nashida Sattar, Deputy Resident Representative of the UNDP Mongolia, Mr Altantulga.B, Head of Employment Division, Employment Policy Implementation and Coordination Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, and Mr Altanshagai.N, Ms. Enkhkhorol.Ch, Head of the Social Development Division, Songinokhairkhan District Governor's Office.
During the consultation, the Multi-Stakeholders it was highlighted
that the unemployed, job seekers and employers of Songinokhairkhan district
should contact the employment specialists of the Employment department and
khoroo to discuss job opportunities, and find the necessary support and
assistance to enter the labor market as well as opportunities for long-term
implementation of service methods. The participants exchanged their views and
agreed to work together to plan further actions.
