Air rescue unit personnel to be trained

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Deputy Prime Minister S.Amarsaikhan yesterday met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Mongolia Philippe Merlin.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the project on the establishment of the helicopter search and rescue center within the framework of a financial agreement between the governments of Mongolia and France. As part of the project, helicopters and special purpose vehicles for structure fires will be provided to Mongolia by France. In addition, training courses will be held for pilots, on flight simulator, mechanics and emergency health care providers.
Within the scope of the financial agreement between the governments of Mongolia and France, the National Emergency Management Agency of Mongolia (NEMA) and the Directorate of the Civil Defense and Security of France are implementing the project since 2020.
