Views exchanged on human rights protection

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ During their virtual meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the State Emergency Commission (SEC) Ya.Sodbaatar, members of the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia have put forwarded a request to pay special attention to Mongolian nationals stranded abroad and repatriate citizens with reasonable excuses in the first turn.
Moreover, they proposed to develop effective cooperation in the COVID-19 situation, increase information exchange and provide reporting to the SEC.
Noting that the SEC is attaching attention on not violating human rights as possible, Deputy PM Ya.Sodbaatar said that there is necessity to make changes in some decisions and make coordination due to timely situation.
Although there are many issues related to human rights in this difficult time, the sides underlined the importance of developing cooperation in human rights protection and mutually exchange information.
