Online platform opened for developing contacts between Mongolian-Russian journalists

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A forum of Mongolian and Russian media organizations was held virtually in Ulaanbaatar on December 15.


The Russian Center for Science and Culture in Ulaanbaatar in partnership with the Confederation of Mongolian Journalists organized the forum under the theme of “Friendly Neighbors – Borderless Talks” with participation of delegates from 128 media organizations of the two countries.


While underlining the significant role of media organizations and voice of journalists in bilateral ties and cooperation, the meeting attendees noted the need of expanding bilateral cooperation ahead of the 100th anniversary of Mongolia-Russia diplomatic relations which will be marked next year.

  

During the forum, “Baikal” Information Center and an online platform for developing direct contact between journalists and media organizations of the two countries was opened at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Ulaanbaatar.


Furthermore, cooperation agreements were signed between “Khovd news” newspaper and “Altaiskaya Pravda” magazine and Television Union of Orkhon aimag and “Arig Us” TV news studio of Buryatia, Russia.
