COVID-19: Local transmission cases reach 193

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the 5 PM press conference by the Ministry of Health on the COVID-19 situation in Mongolia, Head of Surveillance Department of the National Center for Communicable Diseases A.Ambaselmaa informed 21 new cases have been confirmed in Selenge aimag since 11 AM. Thus the number of the infected cases in the aimag reached 96, making the total number of local transmission case 193.
There are two main cluster zones including Sukhbaatar city, Selenge aimag center and Mandal soum. And infection cases are being detected from close and indirect contacts of the infected people.
No new COVID-19
case recorded in Ulaanbaatar city, Darkhan-Uul, Orkhon, Dornogobi and Gobisumber aimags in this period.
