Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The Asian Development Bank is implementing
‘Improved Registry System to Strengthen the Delivery of Social Services’ in
Mongolia.
Within the project, it initially planned to connect 50 units or soums
to the online state civil registration, but today more than 180 units have been
connected, said D.Delgersaikhaи, chief of the General Authority for State
Registration (GASR), during the September 10 virtual meeting with the Project
Officer Declan F. Magee.
He added that it ensures the realization of the mission of state registration offices which is providing stable, quality and prompt services to
citizens.
Expressing gratitude to the project officer Declan F.Magee and the team for their support in expanding the project and resolving additional funding to the project, kicked off in 2018, Mr. Delgersaikhan said, “When units or remote soums and districts are connected to the online civil registration they become accessible to the registry services, regardless their location. It shows how our joint project is fruitful.”
Mr. Declan Magee notified that 29 bylaws and 58 legal acts
were jointly developed within the legal framework. Moreover, supports were given in translating the package law on State Registration into
English, modernizing the website of the
GASR and developing a system enabling electronic registration services.
During the virtual meeting, the sides exchanged views on the
progress of the project, which is being implemented with ADB’s Knowledge and
Support Technical Assistance, and their future cooperation.
