Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At its press briefing of the Operative Staff of the State Emergency Commission, Director General of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs L.Munkhtushig briefed on the adjustments to the charter flights scheduled this month.

Specifically, the number of Mongolian nationals who submitted their request to return home from South Korea reached 5,000, with a constant increase. Given this situation, a charter flight which originally planned to be arranged to Tokyo on September 21 has been replaced with Seoul.

Moreover, the Operative team reported that they are seeking possibilities to arrange more charter flights to Kazakhstan later this month in accordance with availability and capacity of isolation facilities.

As of today, 11,800 Mongolian nationals stranded abroad submitted their request to return home, of which 5,000 from South Korea, 2,000 from the U.S. and 700 from Australia, etc.
