Maternity hospitals connected to telemedicine network

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Urguu, Khuree, and Amgalan Maternity Hospitals of the Capital City, and the Health Centers of Baganuur and Nalaikh district have been connected to the telemedicine network in the framework of the project, ‘Introducing new technologies in management of mother and child health care’, being jointly implemented by the UN Population Fund.
With this, in times of serious difficulties during labor and birth, it becomes possible to get immediate advice from the National Center for Maternal and Child Health, and give necessary health care services with a joint team of doctors, increasing the capacity to take urgent measures in case of emergency.
