JICA presents equipment to maternal hospitals

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Health and JICA are jointly implementing a project on introducing fetal monitoring into midwifery practice between 2019 and 2021. In the framework of the project, JICA presented 24 fetal monitors to the National Center for Maternal and Child Health and three maternal hospitals of the capital city.
The doctors and medical specialists that will be using the equipment worth a total of MNT 851 million are to be involved in a 7-14 day training in Japan. With the successful implementation of the project, health care services during the perinatal period and management for midwifery care will be improved alongside enhancing the skills of doctors.
