Japanese children on a trip in Dornogobi aimag

Dornogobi /MONSTAME/ In frames of cooperation between Dornogobi aimag and Shizuoka Prefecture of Japan, five teachers and 25 children from the prefecture are traveling across Dornogobi aimag between August 6 and 8.

Deputy Governor of Dornogobi aimag G.Erdenetsetseg and Head of the local department for education and culture Ch.Otgonbayar welcomed the teachers and children and gave detailed information about the aimag’s development as well as the characteristics of Gobi region and its locals’ life.

The students will visit the Khamar Monastery and get acquainted with the life of a Gobi herder family. The student exchange program gives Mongolian and Japanese children an opportunity to make reciprocal visits to one another’s countries and explore other cultures and customs while becoming friends and getting acquainted with each other’s educational pursuit and lifestyle.

Thus far, over 200 students and 20 teachers of the aimag visited Shizuoka and around 60 civil servants have studied Japanese experience in the prefecture.
