Meetings with Non-Resident Ambassadors of New Zealand and the Kyrgyz Republic

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On May 27, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Davaasuren met with Non-Resident Ambassador of New Zealand to Mongolia Ms. Patricia Fearnley, exchanging views on current state of Mongolia-New Zealand relations, visits and activities planned to be implemented in the future.


State Secretary D.Davaasuren expressed willingness to develop cooperation especially in the areas of economy and agriculture. While highlighting that Mongolia highly appreciates significance of official development assistance of New Zealand rendered to human resource sector of Mongolia, State Secretary D.Davaasuren said he believes ELTO program for state servants would continue further.  


For her part, Ms. Patricia Fearnley expressed her request to celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries which will be marked in 2020 and the parties discussed a work plan to be realized within the anniversary. They also shared views on regional and international cooperation matters. 


The same day, State Secretary received Non-Resident Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Mongolia Ms. Kanaiyim Bakhtygulova to discuss current relations between Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan and further visits and events.  


State Secretary D.Davaasuren stressed that the Embassy of Mongolia will be established soon, expanding the Consulate General of Mongolia in Kyrgyz capital city to an embassy and it is an indication that Mongolia gives high significance to the relations with Kyrgyzstan.


Ambassador K.Bakhtygulova mentioned that Kyrgyzstan has been studying from the development experience of Mongolia including democracy in Mongolia, open society, electoral system and renewed national civil registration and underlined her willingness to elevate developing relations between the two countries up to a new level.
