Minister D.Sumiyabazar visiting Germany

and Co-chair of the Mongolia-Germany intergovernmental working group
D.Sumiyabazar is paying a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany. Parliamentary
State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and co-chair
of the working group Oliver Wittke invited the Minister as this year marks 45th
anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two
countries.
During his visit, Minister D.Sumiyabazar met with Mr. Oliver
Wittke, Lars-Hendrik Röller, economic advisor to the Chancellor of Germany, and
authorities of Hermes insurance company, savings banks and the Export Promotion Agency of
Germany.
The Minister and Mr. Oliver Wittke talked about the proposal
to enhance bilateral economic cooperation, which was made by President
Kh,Battulga at his meeting held with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the
sidelines of the 12th Asia-Europe Meeting. In particular, the sides discussed
the issue of intensifying implementation of Mongolia-Germany intergovernmental
agreement on cooperation in mining, industry and technology sectors signed in
2011. Moreover, at the meeting, views were exchanged on cooperating in exploration,
mining and use of rare earth elements in Mongolia, funding of pipelines of the
oil refinery as well as the issue of establishing a satellite city.
In the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to hold a meeting of the working group in charge of coordination and supervision of the implementation of the above mentioned
intergovernmental agreement on May 21 in Berlin,
Germany.
