‘ESAN’ digital library created

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A digital library ‘esan.mn’ that contains materials in Mongolian such as books, textbooks, newspapers, research papers in various fields and dissertations has been created under the ESAN project.
The Steppe Link LLC carried out the project with aims to advance the
quality of education at Mongolian universities and to contribute towards
achieving the goals set in education sector.
People can
login to the library from any device connected to the Internet. The library has
the advantage of not only keeping the old books in good condition and enriching
the archives, but also providing quick access to the materials. To implement
the project, a team of 20 people spent three years, writing 48 thousand lines
of code.
Director of
Steppe Link Ts.Munkhtuvshin said “The project was
aimed at providing equal access to information and knowledge, improving the
quality of education and publicizing intellectual works.”
