“First initiative of the construction works was made during 2005 and 2006. Mongolian parliament adopted a soft-loan agreement in 2008 which made possible to lunch the initiative forwarded in 2005 and 2006, in 2013,” Mr Gankhuyag told the Japanese delegation.

The airport is special for being located on the crosspoint of air routs linking Asia and Europe and North America, and for this it could even become a hub of East Asian flights, he emphasized.

Recently, the Mongolian parliament delivered to the government a draft parliamentary resolution on creating a free trade and service zone relying on the new airport, informed D.Gankhuyag and added that the darft resolution is to be discussed by parliament soon.
