Netflix’s Reality Show Physical: Asia Brings Global Spotlight to Mongolia
Sports
Ulaanbaatar, December 3, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Netflix’s reality competition Physical: 100 returned this year with an international twist. The Korean series aired its spin-off, Physical: Asia, from October to November 2025, attracting global audiences, including in Mongolia.
During the show’s final stretch, the remaining teams — Korea and Mongolia — shared a memorable moment: a communal dinner before the Final Quest. As discussions turned to the prize money, Mongolia’s team captain, Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan, jokingly said, “If our team wins today and we get the prize money, we’ll buy all of you plane tickets to visit Mongolia.” In response, Korea’s team captain, Kim Dong-hyun, replied, “I’m determined to do so with your own prize money.”
Following
this exchange, plans are underway for MMA fighter Kim Dong-hyun and CrossFit
athlete Amotti (real name Kim Jae-hong) from the Korean team to visit Mongolia
alongside a 14-member Netflix production team.
The
visit is intended to film a special feature related to the show. Mongolia will
be represented by national wrestler Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan and circus artist
Lkhagva-Ochir Erdene-Ochir. Filming is expected to last 10 days. The
special feature will consist of four episodes, with the first two set to
premiere on Netflix on December 24, 2025,
and the remaining two on December 31, 2025.
Separately, Australian team member and renowned
parkour athlete Dom Tomato (Dominic Di Tommaso) and Korean team member and
freestyle wrestler Jang Eun-sil visited Mongolia last week. Australian
strongman Eddie Williams also arrived in Ulaanbaatar earlier on December 3,
2025.
