Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In the framework of the Smart
Government Project, the ‘Statistical Data Production System Upgrade - SPS’
project has been completed successfully.
The project was jointly implemented by the Government of
Mongolia and the World Bank with the aims of building the National Statistical
Office’s capacity for processing data and establishing the proper organization
of data flow.
In accordance with the GSBPM standard, the
‘Statistical Data Production System - SPS’ system was developed by teams of
engineers and data analysts of the companies, ‘ITZone’ and ‘Novelsoft’.
Developed by bringing together software programming
and data analytics, the system automates processes such as collecting
statistical data from households and entities as well as all stages involved in
order to display the data on the National Statistical Office’s www.1212.mn website, minimizing human input and
saving time.
With this, it becomes possible for policy-makers and
business owners to make optimal decisions based on data alongside bringing
statistical data to the public in a swift manner.
The National Statistics Office collects over 400 types
of data for 38 sectors from a total of 1,807 baghs and khoroos, 330 soums, and
about 40 government institutions, processing the data in monthly and quarterly
intervals.
