Fifteen Political Parties and One Coalition to Run for Citizens' Representative Khurals Elections

Ulaanbaatar, August 15, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The Election Committee of the Capital City convened on August 14, 2024, and discussed the issue of registering the political parties and coalitions that sent their request to run for the upcoming Elections for the Citizens' Representative Khural of the Capital City.
According to Article 19 Section 19.1, and Article 27 Section 27.1, 27.2, and 27.3 of the Law on Elections for the Citizens Representative Khurals of Aimags, Capital City, Soums and Districts, the requests from all 15 political parties and one coalition were accepted. Therefore, the following political parties and one coalition will run for the capital city council election.

- Democratic Party
- Civil Will Green Party
- National Coalition
- Republican Party
- Freedom Implementing Party
- Civil Movement Party
- Development Program Party
- National Labour Party (HUN) Party
- People’s Power Party
- Truth and Right Party
- People’s Majority Governance Party
- Ger Area Development Party
- NEW (Shine) Party
- Civic Unity Party
- Good Democratic Citizens United Party.
The Elections for the Citizens Representative Khurals of Aimags, Capital City, Soums and Districts will be held on October 11, 2024. Due to the upcoming Elections, changing of citizens' jurisdiction has been halted from August 12 until October 12, 2024.
