"Mont-Yak" Diary Products Receive “Certified Transitional Organic" Certificate

Ulaanbaatar, December 5, 2023 /MONTSAME. APU Dairy Mongolian dairy company
introduced nine types of “Mont-Yak” dairy products to the market.
Last week, Mont-Yak's Sarlagiin
shar tos [yak milk butter] and Amtat khailmag [caramelized clotted cream]
products received a "Certified Transitional Organic" certificate from
SFCS Certification LLC. The certificate is obtained by certifying organic food
products at all stages of food production.
Under the project, value-added semi-processed and processed milk
products are purchased from 30 herders of Chuluut soum in Arkhangai aimag to
produce Mongolian yak organic dairy products.
Vitamin B12, zinc, and protein contained in the "Mongolian
Yak" products certified as organic food are 1.5-3 times higher than in
cow's milk. Therefore, the Project to deliver dairy products rich in vitamins
and minerals will have a positive impact on public health.
