Equestrian sports house established in Uvurkhangai aimag

Uvurkhangai /MONTSAME/ On its historic 20th anniversary, the ‘Sain Noyonii Khurd’ federation of equestrian sports and horse trainers of Uyanga soum of Uvurkhangai aimag initiated and established the ‘Idol of Pride and Respect’ complex.

Built in collaboration with the Homeland Council of and Governor’s Office of the soum with funds raised from citizens, the facility comprises of statues of coursers of the soum’s famous horse trainers surrounding a Uyanga-style ger with a statue of Sain Noyon Khan Namnansüren and portraits of the soum’s notables.

Representatives of the Homeland Council of Uvurkhangai aimag, soum authorities, and locals attended the festival to inaugurate the establishment, enjoying a Mongolian national wrestling tournament and horse race.

It is worth mentioning that Uyanga soum presently has 117 horse trainers, of which two horse trainers hold the title  of  'State distinguished horse trainer', 20 'Distinguished horse trainer of the aimag, and 17 hold soum-level title. 


‘Sain Noyonii Khurd’ federation was awarded as the aimag’s best equestrian sports and horse trainers’ federation in 2016 and 2018, and Mongolia’s best equestrian sports and horse trainers’ federation in 2017 and this establishment is one of its many initiatives that would make significant contributions to the soum development.
