Students abroad discuss urban development issues
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Embassy of Mongolia in Prague, the Czech
Republic organized the European session of the 11th Forum of
Mongolians studying abroad within the Mongolian Young Leaders Program (MYLP).
Established by the participants of MYLP in Washington DC in 2009, the Mongolian
Young Leader Network NGO holds forums and discussions covering specific topics with
a goal to contribute to sustainable development of Mongolia and this year, it featured
three sessions in three continents for the first time. Some 10 young people studying and working in
Britain, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic and Luxembourg participated in the
European session themed ‘Ulaanbaatar 2030’, giving presentations and exchanging
views on the topics ‘Urban Waste Management’, ‘Urban Traffic’, and ‘Urban
Housing' and so forth.
In addition, during the session, meetings were held with researchers and
experts of relevant organizations in Prague as well as Mongolian students in
Czech.
