Mongolia becomes 13th at 6th Military World Games

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Athletes of the “Aldar” sports club at the Armed Forces successfully competed in the 6th Summer World Military Games which ran this October 2-11 in Mungyeong of South Korea.

Competed for the first time in the CISM Military World Games, the national team of Mongolia took 13th place among 58 medal-winner countries, grabbing three gold, four silver and five bronze medals. Russia, Brazil and China occupied first three places. Gold medals were won by a recurve mixed team of archery; by Ch.Narantuya for shooting (individual 50m rifle three positions women); and women’s shooting team of 50m rifle 3 positions. Silver and bronze medals went to athletes of archery, boxing, judo, shooting and wrestling.

In the contest of women’s 50m rifle three positions, our team with N.Nandinzaya, O.Yanjinlham and Ch.Narantuya broke the Games’ record with 1,761 points.
