On March 29, at a daily briefing of the Ministry of Health, D.Nyamkhuu, Director of the National Center of Communicable Diseases (NCCD), informed that a coronavirus testing laboratory equivalent to the one in the capital city newly opened in Darkhan-Uul aimag.

Government welcomes support from Facebook
 The Ministry of Health, Government of Mongolia, has received sponsorship from Facebook to help it to launch public education campaign about COVID-19 on the social media platform. Facebook has provided free advertising support to the health ministry, which is now working with other government departments including Communications and Information Technology Authority (CITA), to keep Mongolian people well informed of latest and most authoritative information related to the situation of COVID-19.

PM Khurelsukh announced that the government of Mongolia today decided to take the following measures to be financed with MNT 5.1 trillion to support the country’s economy weakened by the coronavirus outbreak.

12th COVID-19 case confirmed
D.Nyamkhuu, Director of the National Center of Communicable Diseases (NCCD) announced at today’s daily briefing of the Ministry of Health that another person who is staying in quarantine after arriving in Mongolia on an evacuation flight from Istanbul, Turkey last week, was diagnosed with coronavirus, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in Mongolia to 12.

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On March 27, Prime Minister of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh delivered an address to the people and entities of Mongolia to introduce the new measures addressing the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meat factory ready for operation in Zavkhan aimag
A meat factory with a daily capacity of 500 sheep and goats and 150-200 cattle is to open in Tosontsengel soum of Zavkhan aimag. The factory building is now ready as an agreement was established with Bayan New Food Century LLC.
