450 Teachers Participate in Mentor Teacher Training

Ulaanbaatar, August 4, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia announced the launch of the mentor teacher preparation program as part of preparations to implement the nationwide reform of the “Preschool Education Curriculum" on August 4, 2025.
A total of 450 teachers and education professionals from 21 aimags and nine districts are participating in the training. These teachers will subsequently implement the new curriculum in their local areas and conduct training sessions for other educators.
The revised curriculum, developed within the framework of the “Concept of Preschool and General Education Curriculum” and approved by Resolution No. 176 issued in 2024, was piloted from November 2024 to April 2025 in 18 kindergartens across six districts of the capital city and 12 aimags, incorporating feedback and recommendations from teachers and researchers to improve the program.
Minister of Education and Science Naranbayar Purevsuren officially opened the program with remarks, emphasizing that the revised curriculum is designed to support the development and participation of every child, ensure continuity and alignment across all levels of education, and increase accessibility. The Minister highlighted the importance of learning through play.
The revised “Preschool Education Curriculum” will be implemented starting from the 2025–2026 academic year.
