Chair of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Environment meets Deputy Regional Director of GGGI Asia

Ulaanbaatar, September 19, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Chair of the Standing Committee on Environment, Food, and Agriculture of the State Great Khural of Mongolia, Beisen Bulan, received Deputy Regional Director of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) Asia Jason Lee on September 18, 2025.
At the outset, Chair Beisen expressed appreciation for the meeting and emphasized that the Standing Committee will continue to focus on implementing policies for green development and climate change adaptation, while enhancing the legal framework. He emphasized that Mongolia attaches great importance to GGGI’s assessments, recommendations, and cooperation initiatives, and is ready to align them with the country’s development policy.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on introducing waste management measures that are consistent with climate adaptation and environmental protection, as well as on jointly implementing projects and programs that support the development of a green economy. Deputy Regional Director Jason Lee expressed readiness to cooperate in the field of hazardous waste management, according to the Media and Public Relations Department of the State Great Khural.
