20-year-old wrestler D.Otgonjargal wins bronze from world championships
On October 6, freestyle wrestler D.Otgonjargal won the bronze medal from the women’s 50 kg weight class at the World Wrestling Championships taking place in Oslo, Norway. It is her first time competing at the world championship tournament.

Draft amendments to the Law on Excise Tax to be withdrawn
At its regular meeting today, the Cabinet has decided to withdraw the bill to amend the Law on Excise Tax, which was formulated in relation to a Bill on State Budget 2022 that was submitted to the Parliament.

External Advisory Committee meeting of “Switch Off Air Pollution” project organized
Opening the meeting, Beatriz Maroto Izquierdo, Country Director of Geres INGO, lead implementer of the project emphasized that “Despite the difficult situation with the Covid-19 pandemic, the project is being implemented successfully”. During the opening remarks, H.E. Mr. Sébastien Surun , Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the French Republic to Mongolia said that “I am grateful that this project against air pollution addresses environmental, economic and social factors together.”

M.Lkhagvagerel wins Mongolia’s first world championship medal in heavyweight wrestling
On October 3, IM M.Lkhagvagerel has won the bronze medal in the men’s 125 kg weight class at the World Wrestling Championship taking place in Oslo, Norway from October 2 to October 10. It is the first ever time for a Mongolian wrestling athlete to win a medal from the 125 kg weight class.
