Switzerland sends medical supplies worth over CHF 850,000
Switzerland is helping Mongolia in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. On Tuesday 13 July, the Swiss Humanitarian Aid Department sent 40 oxygen ventilators and 45 oxygen concentrators to Ulaanbaatar for a total value of around CHF 700,000. In addition to this delivery of equipment, the SDC also granted CHF 150,000 for the purchase of four portable X-ray machines for the Ministry of Health.

Nine White Banners ceremony takes place
Today marks the 2230th anniversary of Foundation of the first Mongolian Statehood, 815th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, and the 100th anniversary of the People’s Revolution of Mongolia. On its occasion, the ceremony of the Nine White Banners took place at the Sukhbaatar Square.

Government to submit its proposal to Parliament to continue supports for households and businesses
Yesterday, June 25, Prime Minister L. Oyun-Erdene introduced to the National Security Council a proposal to continue the government's decision on providing an additional funding for the health sector, granting monthly allowance of MNT 100 thousand to each child, and paying utility bills (electricity, heat, and waste bills) of households and some enterprises until the end of this year, as well as extending a 50 percent discount rate of refined coal until March of 2022.

Mongolian, Russian defense ministers meet in Moscow
Between June 22 and 23, Minister of Defense G.Saikhanbayar is taking part in the IX Moscow Conference on International Security.
