Mongolian, Russian defense ministers meet in Moscow

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Between June 22 and 23, Minister of Defense G.Saikhanbayar is taking part in the IX Moscow Conference on International Security. During the visit to Russia, Mongolian Minister of Defense Saikhanbayar and Russian Minister of Defense Sergey Shoygu held a bilateral meeting to exchange views about a wide range of issues concerning military and technical cooperation between Mongolia and Russia.
After talking about the current state and progress of Mongolia-Russia military cooperation, the Ministers touched on the future trend of the partnership, and measures to implement in the near future.
At the meeting, Russian Minister Sergey Shoygu noted his willingness to pay attention on the development of cooperation in every possible area and invited Minister Saikhanbayar to pay an official visit to Russia.
While noting the successful growth of the cooperation between Mongolian and Russian Defense Ministers in line with relevant plans, Minister Saikhanbayar, as a deputy chair of the State Emergency Commission of Mongolia, thanked the Russian side for providing support for the COVID-19 vaccine delivery to Mongolia and pledged to maintain active cooperation within this area in the future.
