Ulaanbaatar, June 30, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The third leg of the “Russian Tour-2025” judo tournament was held in Chelyabinsk, the Russian Federation.

Six athletes from Mongolia participated in the tournament and won one gold and two bronze medals under the guidance of national team coach M. Bundmaa. Specifically, O. Oyunchimeg won a gold medal in the women’s 52-kilogram weight class and had the Mongolian national anthem played in her honor. While she had previously competed in the 57-kilogram category, she has now cut weight and competed in the 52-kilogram category. Meanwhile, J. Anudari and D. Yesui won bronze medals in the women’s 48-kilogram and 70-kilogram weight classes, respectively.

The tournament, aimed at increasing the athletes’ skills and motivation, grants the medal-winning athletes invitations to participate in the final tournament to be held in December 2025.

For reference, Mongolia’s young male judokas won gold, silver, and bronze medals under the guidance of national team coach B. Khishigbayar at the international tournament series held last month in Khabarovsk, the Russian Federation.
