MONTSAME Mongolian National News Agency and Turkmenistan State News Agency "TDH" Sign a Memorandum of Understanding

Ulaanbaatar, June 2, 2025 /MONTSAME/. On June 2, 2025, the MONTSAME Mongolian National News Agency and the Turkmenistan State News Agency "TDH" signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
Director-General of the MONTSAME Mongolian National News Agency Sodontogos Erdenetsogt and Director-General of the Turkmenistan State News Agency "TDH" Merdan Gazakbayev signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which marks an important advancement in bilateral cooperation in media. The Memorandum of Understanding is one of 14 documents signed during the State Visit of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow to Mongolia at the invitation of President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa.
The Memorandum of Understanding enables further expansion of the cooperation between the news agencies of the two countries, exchange of news and information covering politics, society, economy, business, tourism, art, and history, facilitating the distribution of articles and programs through their channels. To further enrich collaboration, the two sides aim at organizing journalist and specialist training, experience sharing, and mutual visits.
The Turkmenistan State News Agency "TDH" publishes domestic news on politics, society, economy, culture, and sports in Turkmen, Russian, and English languages. The Agency was founded in 1924 under the name "Telegraph Agency of Turkmenistan" shortly after the declaration of Ashgabat as the Capital City of the Turkmen Soviet Socialist Republic. Since then, the Agency was renamed "TurkmenInform," then "Turkmen-Press" until November 20, 2014, when it finally became the Turkmenistan State News Agency "TDH."
