Regular population and housing census to be held in January next year

/MONTSAME/. In compliance with 7.1 of the Law on Statistics, which
states “Population and housing census shall be carried out every decade whereas
a midterm census shall be held every 5 years”, a regular census of population
and housing will be carried out nationwide for a week starting on January 9, 2020.
Since its first population census in 1918, Mongolia held its regular censuses in 1935, 1944, 1956, 1963, 1969, 1979, 1989 and 2000, and the first census of the 21st century was organized in 2010 and the first midterm census of population and housing in 2015.
