First international forum for psychiatric nurses takes place

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On October 11, the first international forum for nurses under the theme, ‘Mental health nursing’, was jointly organized by the Ministry of Health and the Mongolian Nurses Association with the support of the University of Essex of the U.K., and the postgraduate curriculum development team for psychiatric nursing. Over 250 nurses, mental health nurses and specialists of the health institutions of aimags and the capital city participated in the forum.
With five presentations on the issue of mental health done by specialists of the U.S., Australia, the Netherlands, and the U.K., officials highlighted that the forum was an important event for the professional development of nurses, and in enhancing health care and services.
