First national training on multilateral trading system held
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the World Trade Organization (WTO), Diplomatic Academy at the ministry, NUM Business School and the School International Relations and Public Administration organized the training titled ‘Multilateral trading system and WTO’ on March 26-28.
It is the first of four planned trainings, requested by WTO to the Government of Mongolia in 2018. The training provides information on broad range of issues including the multilateral trading system, basic principles of the WTO, trade policy instruments, access to foreign markets, domestic support, export subsidies, trade of goods and services, facilitating trade and regional trade agreements.
Moreover, the Customs General Administration introduced the activities of National Trade Facilitation Committee established within the framework of Trade Facilitation Agreement with WTO.
Representatives of relevant ministries, agencies, scholars, researchers, professors and private sector actively participated in the event, exchanging their knowledge and information on their relevant areas.
