ADB project team works in Khovd aimag

Khovd /MONTSAME/. A team of the project, ‘Aimag and Soum Centers Regional Development Investment Program’, currently being implemented by ADB worked in Khovd aimag to determine pressing issues in sectors, such as urbanization and planning, and necessary measures to be taken in the future.
The project team was received by the Governor of Khovd aimag. They discussed the current state of the region as well as the goals and objectives of the project, results of the research that was done on each sector and possible solutions.
Governor of Khovd aimag B.Dugerjav highlighted the correlation between the project, its future actions, and the aimag’s general development plan and green development programme. He then expressed that they would fully support the project.
The project’s goals are to reduce air pollution and increase green area, build an advanced waste processing plant, restore old buildings of heritage and improve the correlations between sectors, such as agriculture and medium scale industry.
