PM U.Khurelsukh meets WB Country Manager

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The World Bank delegates headed by the country Manager and Resident Representative James Anderson paid courtesy call on Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh, on October 30.

PM U.Khurelsukh expressed his gratitude for WB’s cooperation and financial and policy assistance to Mongolia since its transition into market economy. The PM said that cooperation of the two parties and policy will be maintained further.

Resident Representative James Anderson said that they will study PM’s request to move a meeting of the WB Board of Directors ahead. 'The WB planned to implement programs and projects aimed at increasing jobs, developing agriculture, supporting personal development and strengthening governance', he noted. The WB considers it proper that the Government should implement consistent policy targeted to low-income and poor citizens, reviewing promises regarding money distribution and pension increase.

The WB has implemented 134 programs and projects with finance of USD817.2 million over the last 25 years.
