Mongolian team wins at FIBA Skills Challenge

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The FIBA U17 Global Skills Challenges took place remotely between August 18-23, featuring top 16 national teams. The tournament was wrapped up yesterday and a Mongolian U17 basketball team claimed the first place.
After coming through the Asian qualifiers, the Mongolian team’s perfect run in the group stage clinched their first spot in Group C. Their dominant performances in the quarter- and semi-finals led them to the grand finals where they went victorious over Bulgarian team with the final score of 99-124. Mongolian player G.Bolor-Erdene has been named as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament.
