1,298 new COVID-19 cases, four deaths reported

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Health has reported today, August 17 that 1,298 new coronavirus cases were detected in the past 24 hours after tests were carried out at PCR laboratories across the country. In specific, 318 new cases were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar city, with 979 cases in rural regions and one imported case.
As a result, the nationwide infection tally is now 184,955. In the last 24 hours, 1,628 coronavirus patients were recovered and discharged from hospital.
The Ministry also reported four new COVID-19 related deaths,
raising the country's death toll to 884.
